Rondel rouge - SOLD

Thirty-six flowers, and yet no two are alike. Cut in layers of blood-red, jet-black, and immaculate white paper, they bloom in a silent and rigorous dance, each bearing at its heart a small pearlescent dot like a frozen drop of dew. The restrained palette — three colors, three voices — paradoxically creates infinite richness: here red dominates, there black absorbs the light, elsewhere white breathes. This is a garden without season, without wind, without fragrance — a garden of pure form where beauty is born from discipline and repetition.

In poetry, a rondel is a fixed-form poem built on two rhymes with a refrain, like a rondeau or triolet. Most often composed of thirteen octosyllabic verses distributed in three stanzas. Here, the rondel becomes visual: thirty-six floral forms repeating with variations, like verses in a poem.
