This work offers a contemporary and poetic reinterpretation of the famous Giza plateau. By transposing the approximate layout of the Egyptian pyramids into a system of folded paper modules, the artist creates a dialogue between ancient monumentality and the fragility of the material.

Each miniature pyramid, delicately crafted, captures and reflects light as its illustrious counterparts have captured the desert sun for millennia. The spatial arrangement, though abstract and condensed, evokes the sacred geography of the archaeological site, transforming the artwork into a kind of vertical plane, a sensitive cartography.

The contrast between the luminous whiteness of the paper and the darker shadows echoes the play of light on the pyramid faces throughout the day. The variations in gray in the background suggest sand, cast shadows, or even the patina of time.

This piece questions our relationship to eternal monuments through the deliberate fragility of paper, the quintessential ephemeral material. It invites the viewer to rediscover a wonder of the ancient world through the lens of minimalist and contemplative geometry.
